It has been reported that more than 1.91 billion units of Shiba Inu have been destroyed in the last two hours, which could be linked to the anticipated launch of the Shibarium Public Beta platform.
There has been an atypical occurrence in the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency, as indicated by data from Etherscan.io. The entity known as “Shiba Inu: Deployer 2,” who created the contract, has carried out various transactions in the last two hours, leading to the permanent removal of an enormous amount of Shiba Inu tokens from circulation. The quantity eliminated totals 1,917,855,961 (1.91 billion) SHIB, which at the current price of the cryptocurrency, is valued at around $21,000.
Although a significant amount of Shiba Inu tokens has been eliminated through the recent burn activity, the wallet associated with the contract still contains a substantial amount of SHIB. The wallet currently holds 288,342,406,555 (288.34 billion) units of the cryptocurrency, valued at $3,168,883 ($3.16 million).
The burn rate of Shiba Inu has experienced a remarkable surge, increasing by 26462.38% within the last 24 hours.
However, the unexpected surge in the burn rate of Shiba Inu has sparked curiosity and conjecture regarding the purpose behind the elimination of such a large number of tokens. Some speculate that this action may be connected to the forthcoming launch of the Shibarium Public Beta testnet.
