Shiba Inu: Shiba Eternity Tournament Prize Pool Now Worth $1,000

Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer for Shiba Inu, has raised the prize money for a tournament called Shiba Eternity, organized by the community. The new prize pool is now worth $1,000.

The most recent update was prompted by an announcement made on Friday by Brwncow, a Shiba Inu community member responsible for organizing the tournament. Brwncow disclosed that the fourth Shiba Eternity tournament of the month would take place on Sunday at 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (6:00 PM UTC).

Initially, the prize pool for the tournament was worth $50, which was in the form of Ryoshis Vision (RYOSHI). The breakdown of the prize money was $30 for the first-place winner, $15 for the second-place winner, and $5 for the third-place winner. CalvenJ, a music artist and a supporter of Shiba Inu, had donated the $50 prize money.

Kusama praised the initiative of the community in organizing the tournament and suggested that the prize pool be increased to $1,000, with $500 going to the first-place winner and $250 each for the first and second runners-up. Kusama also recommended that the tournament be held twice a month, which translates to once every two weeks.

The group responsible for Dogpad Finance, the official launchpad ecosystem for Shibarium, offered to sponsor the tournament. Kusama agreed to the offer and directed them to contact Browncow to arrange the donation.

Brwncow established the tournament the previous year to promote the adoption of Shiba Eternity while having fun with friends. The first tournament occurred in December and has continued every month since then. Interested participants can register for the tournament at no cost via the designated Discord channel.

The Shiba Eternity game has experienced several updates since it was introduced in October last year. These updates were made intermittently as the development team worked towards improving the game to a high level of quality in preparation for the launch of the blockchain version. The blockchain version of the game is intended to operate on Shibarium, which is a layer-2 network that is currently in development.

Three days ago, Kusama drew attention to a new feature introduced by MetaMask, intended to improve players’ gaming experience. This development led to speculation that the lead developer might consider integrating Shiba Eternity with MetaMask.
