Shiba Inu and SHIB: The Metaverse have been invited by South by Southwest to present their metaverse experience at the 2023 SXSW festival, which will take place in Austin, Texas, between March 10 and 19. SHIB: The Extended Reality (XR) Experience, which allows SXSW badge holders access to augmented reality and virtual reality (AR/VR) previews, will give The Metaverse a chance to showcase the WAGMI Temple Hub.
The SHIB team recently announced in a tweet, including a link to an official blog post and an SXSW announcement outlining this year’s event lineup. Shiba Inu will be able to provide an exclusive glimpse of the WAGMI Temple Hub to guests of the SXSW festival.

According to SXSW, the XR Experience Competition, XR Experience Spotlight, and XR Experience Special Events are the festival’s three XR Experience areas. The Metaverse was included in the lineup for the XR Experience Spotlight, and a preview of it was scheduled to run for 40 minutes.
The SHIB team is urging attendees to stop by their booth in order to improve their experience. The group will give instructions on how to link their wallets, buy land in the Metaverse, and visit the WAGMI Temple Hub to interested parties.
The first of eleven hubs in the SHIB Metaverse is the (We’re All Gonna Make It) WAGMI Temple Hub, which the team defines as “a Zen-like realm with calming sensations, meditation, natural beauty, and spiritual connections to the world.” Several proposals for the WAGMI Temple Hub have been made public by the SHIB team over the course of the months, including official images rendered using Unreal Engine 5.1.
The SHIB Metaverse
According to Sherri Cuono, SHIB’s Metaverse Advisor, the hubs represent the focal points of the project’s Metaverse experience, each of which features a unique experience for users. “Users will be able to earn passive income, collect in-game resources, generate rewards, and even have their own space to build and manage their projects in SHIB: The Metaverse,” Cuono added.
The SHIB Metaverse team regularly releases concepts and images that serve as visual representations of the developments being injected into the project, which continues to be one of the community’s most eagerly awaited initiatives. In October last year, the team published a second piece of concept art for Dunes, one of the Metaverse’s hubs. This happened three weeks following the launch of the initial concept image for the Canyon hub.
