Ripple vs SEC Case Gone a Little Cold Some XRP Community Wondered if it Behind Closed Doors

Since no news about the Ripple and SEC case has been shared with the XRP community lately, Twitter user Martin Valk spoke to members of the XRP community who usually do and wondered if this means that the process continues between Ripple and the regulator behind closed doors.

Twitter User Ask About the Ripple vs SEC Case

The people Valk tagged in his tweet were lawyers Jeremy Hogan and James K. Filan and the founder of the Crypto-Law.us portal, John E. Deaton.

In particular, Valk would like to know if further dates for further hearings are known or if the information is from now on closed to the public.

One of the commentators mentioned a solid tweet on James K. Filan’s Twitter page that showed a schedule of planned events related to the regulator’s lawsuit against Ripple.

It can be seen that the deadline for fact-finding and expert identification is set at the end of August and mid-October.

Nicole Tatz from Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP will represent CEO Brad Garnlighouse in court.

Sarah J. Prostko of law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison will defend Ripple co-founder and former CEO Christopher Larsen.

Jed McCaleb Received 291.5 Million XRP from Ripple and sold 10 Million at the Same Time

Ripple transferred a large amount of XRP to the man who helped create it and served as its first CTO for a year – Jed McCaleb.

A tweet posted by the Whale Alert service tracking large digital currency transactions says it has received more than 291 million XRP tokens from the company.

McCaleb has not bothered to postpone the sale of XRP but has instead sent about 10 million XRP to cryptocurrency exchanges.
