Lawyer James K. Filan regularly shares updates with the community on the Ripple case against the SEC and said on Twitter that the San Francisco-based blockchain heavyweight is welcoming new lawyers to the team.
Ripple Welcomes Sarah J. Prostko
According to his tweet, Sarah J. Prostko joined the SEC counter-Ripple case to defend Chris Larsen’s interests, who co-founded Ripple Labs with Jed McCaleb in 2012.

Prostko is an alumnus of York School of Law, J.D., Magna Cumlaude – a Latin academic honorific, which means that a person attains a degree with outstanding results.
She also has a bachelor’s degree from American University. Graduation honours students – similar to above, but with a higher ranking.

Earlier this month, it was reported that a new lawyer has also joined the Ripple team to defend CEO Brad Garlinghouse’s interests in a lawsuit against the SEC.
At the end of December 2020, the US SEC agency filed a lawsuit against Ripple Labs and its two senior executives (CEO Bradley Garlinghouse and former CEO and co-founder Christopher Larson) accusing them of raising around $1.3 billion on XRP, which the SEC defined as unregistered digital securities.
