Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, along with Stuart Alderoty, the Chief Legal Officer (CLO), are scheduled to deliver speeches at the upcoming Messari Mainnet Conference.
Ripple Reps Makes Key Speakers’ List
The Messari Mainnet Conference, set to take place from September 20 to 22, 2023, in New York, will feature prominent figures as speakers. Notably, Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple’s CEO, is among the distinguished keynote speakers. Meanwhile, Stuart Alderoty, the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) of Ripple, has been included in the lineup of policy-oriented speakers.
Key speaking roles will be filled by notable individuals such as Brian Armstrong, the CEO of Coinbase, Charles Cascarilla, CEO and founder of Paxos, Pascal Gauthier, CEO of Ledger, and Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Circle.
In addition to Alderoty, the conference will feature other notable policy speakers such as Paul Grewal, the Chief Legal Officer of Coinbase, Sheila Warren from the Crypto Council for Innovation, and Rebecca Rettig from Polygon Labs.
The Mainnet conference, hosted by Messari, a prominent provider of market intelligence solutions, brings together key figures in the cryptocurrency industry, including leaders, developers, and investors. This three-day event focuses on forward-looking collaboration, networking, and curated programming.
Recently, Ryan Selkis, the CEO of Messari, used X (formerly Twitter) to encourage crypto enthusiasts to participate in the conference. He emphasized the importance of attending the Messari Mainnet conference taking place in New York City this September. Selkis highlighted the impressive roster of individuals who are driving advancements in policy matters within the crypto space, and he encouraged people to secure their tickets for an opportunity to engage with these influencers in person.
He also discussed the Stand With Crypto Alliance, a newly established independent advocacy group in support of cryptocurrencies, launched by Coinbase.

Ripple Officials Could Provide Statements Regarding SEC Legal Action
Garlinghouse and Alderoty are set to present at the Mainnet conference. During the event, senior representatives from Ripple are anticipated to discuss the company’s recent legal battle with the SEC.
It’s worth noting that the court has recently delivered a much-awaited summary judgment. Ripple emerged largely victorious from this decision, with the court ruling in their favor on two of the three claims brought forward by the SEC.
Reports suggest that the court determined Ripple’s programmatic sales of XRP and other related distributions were not securities. However, the judge did conclude that Ripple’s previous sales to institutional clients can be classified as investment contracts.
Following this verdict, the SEC is seeking to challenge the court’s decision on the programmatic sales of XRP and other distributions. Ripple is preparing to submit its reply to the SEC’s appeal request later in the week.
