XRP Sets Stage for $2.70 Breakout Following Golden Cross

XRP Surges to $2.22 as Trading Volume Explodes 159%

XRP just confirmed a golden cross on its hourly chart. This happens when the 50-hour simple moving average (SMA) moves above the 200-hour SMA. Traders see this crossover as a sign of short-term bullish momentum and a potential trend reversal.

At the same time, XRP has broken above the 50-day SMA on the daily chart. This level, at $2.20, has acted as both support and resistance. The move suggests bulls are gaining control and pushing for higher prices.

Price Climbs 7.73% as Bulls Take Charge

XRP now trades at $2.26, up 7.73% in the past 24 hours. The focus now shifts to whether XRP can hold above the 50-day SMA. Holding this level could confirm a stronger upward move in the sessions ahead.

Crypto analyst Ali believes XRP is forming an inverse head and shoulders pattern. This setup often leads to a breakout. If it plays out, XRP could rise to $2.70 in the near term.

The next target lies at $3. If XRP crosses this, it may climb toward $3.40. However, sellers will likely defend these levels. A breakout above $3.40 could start a new uptrend. On the downside, XRP must stay above $2. A drop below this support could send it to $1.72, or even $1.61.

The XRP Ledger Foundation responded quickly. They released updated versions and urged developers to upgrade. Versions v4.2.1 to v4.2.4 and v2.14.2 are now deprecated.

XRP’s hourly golden cross and break above the daily SMA 50 reflect growing strength. A bullish pattern supports a move to $2.70 or higher. Meanwhile, the XRPL bug fix shows a strong commitment to security and fast response.
