XRP Set for $10 Surge as Most Investors Wait for a Crash

XRP recently hit a new yearly high of $3.66 after recovering from a six-month consolidation around the $2 range. This followed a sharp correction from its January 2025 peak of $3.4. However, the latest surge has divided investors. Some now expect another pullback to cheaper levels before entering the market.

An experienced trader recently labeled XRP as “very overbought,” predicting a correction and advising current holders to take profits. Meanwhile, many are holding off on investing, hoping for a lower entry point.

Market Pundit Warns Against Waiting for a Dip

Crypto commentator DustyBC disagrees with this strategy. He warned that most investors waiting for a drop will likely miss XRP’s next major run to $10. According to him, these investors only plan to act when they see prices falling. But if XRP skips the correction, they’ll have already missed significant gains.

Currently trading at $3.57, XRP only needs a 187% increase to hit the $10 mark. DustyBC argued that by the time investors realize the crash isn’t coming, XRP will have already surpassed their targets.

XRP’s History of Sharp Corrections Fuels Fear

Historically, XRP has seen deep corrections after major rallies. In 2018, it crashed 88% from $3.8 to $0.45 in just three months. Again in 2021, XRP dropped 74% from $1.96 to $0.51 within weeks. These examples have made many traders cautious, expecting a repeat of past declines.

After the recent surge from November 2024 to January 2025, some analysts, including Cole Garner, advised shorting XRP. They expected it to fall below $2. But this correction never happened.

DustyBC now insists that waiting for another correction could backfire. He believes XRP might continue its uptrend without a dip. Similarly, XRP community figure Edoardo Farina discouraged delay. Back in April, he urged investors to buy XRP at $2, comparing it to buying Bitcoin at $100. With Bitcoin already at $106,000 then, Farina said XRP could deliver similar returns. While fear of another crash keeps some investors on the sidelines, market commentators warn that hesitation might lead to missed opportunities.
