In a landmark development for digital assets, 3iQ, a prominent digital asset investment firm, has launched the 3iQ XRP ETF on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). Trading under the symbols XRPQ and XRPQ.U, this exchange-traded fund (ETF) becomes one of the first in North America to offer investors long-term exposure to XRP, the fourth-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. Notably, Ripple, the company behind XRP, holds an early investment stake in the ETF.
To commemorate the ETF’s debut, 3iQ will ring the TSX’s closing bell today. The fund provides exposure to XRP, which has surged by 10,800% since January 2015, marking a dramatic long-term return for early investors.

Meanwhile, attention has shifted to the United States, where regulatory developments could open the door to further XRP adoption. Eleanor Terrett, a recognized crypto journalist, recently revealed that the SEC is inviting public comments regarding CBOE’s application to list the Franklin Templeton XRP Spot ETF. Although the SEC delayed its decision until June 17, it will now accept feedback through late July, potentially shaping the outcome of the much-anticipated approval.
XRP Ledger Sees Surge in On-Chain Activity
Simultaneously, the XRP Ledger continues to show strong on-chain momentum. Data from Santiment, a blockchain analytics firm, reports that daily active XRP addresses have soared to an average of 295,000 over the past week far above the usual 35,000 to 40,000 range seen over the past three months.
Moreover, for the first time in over 12 years of XRP’s history, there are now more than 2,700 whale and shark wallets holding at least one million XRP each, signaling growing institutional and high-net-worth investor confidence in the asset.
