The Shiba Inu ecosystem has seen notable advancements, with a focus on Shibarium, a layer-2 solution. However, the community has also been intrigued by a prominent investor. Whale Alert, a blockchain transaction tracking service, disclosed that an unidentified investor has obtained 708.41 billion SHIB tokens. The purchase, worth around $5.99 million, was conducted in a single transaction on the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange. This significant acquisition has been confirmed by data from Etherscan.io.
According to Etherscan, another withdrawal of SHIB was made from the same exchange, but this time it was much smaller, totaling 48,426,150 SHIB. After the large investor mentioned earlier made the withdrawals, they initiated two transactions. These transactions involved sending the previously mentioned 708 billion SHIB, along with an additional 1.2 million SHIB, to another wallet with the address.
Currently, this receiving wallet holds a total of 4,873,110,287 SHIB tokens. It is worth noting that this wallet has remained inactive until now. The initial two transactions on this wallet occurred 250 days and 16 hours ago.
Additionally, the transfer of funds to an active wallet could indicate that the significant investor is either reorganizing their Shiba Inu holdings or possibly selling the substantial amount of 708 billion SHIB to another holder.
