Shiba Inu Now Supported on Travala.com
The disclosure comes less than a year after Travala.com introduced Shiba Inu to its selection of cryptocurrencies that customers may use to book more than 3 million travel-related items. Shiba Inu demonstrated its popularity before Travala listed it by triumphing in a Token Battle that Travala had organized.
Travala’s official Twitter account congratulated Shiba Inu owners for winning the competition instead of Floki Inu owners. A total of 4 million votes were needed in the poll, which was put online on December 2, to determine which cryptocurrency among the tokens is most popular. Interestingly, the Shiba Inu and Floki Inu groups contributed approximately 4.9 million votes to the voting process.
Shiba Inu received 3,408,700 votes overall, while Floki Inu received 1,484,900.
“Congratulations to @Shibtoken for winning the token battle on #Travala. $SHIB is now listed as a payment method on http://Travala.com to book over 3M travel products worldwide,” Travala tweeted.
A move by Travala to accept cryptocurrencies has increased Shiba Inu’s utility. Travala lets users book hotels and flights with prominent brands in London (U.K.), Barcelona (Spain), and Amsterdam (Netherlands) using cryptocurrency. Clients may now use Shiba Inu to pay for services at the 5-star W Hotels in Dubai, which teamed up with Travala earlier this month.
