Survivors of the Terra ecosystem imbroglio are determined to resurrect the project’s defunct tokens, Luna Classic (LUNC) and UST Classic (USTC).
Although several cryptocurrency trading platforms have implemented the 1.2% tax burn for all LUNC on-chain transactions, the Terra Classic community still wishes to burn more tokens in order to boost the price.
This time, the Terra Classic community is advocating for LUNC to be listed on the no-fee investing platform Robinhood. The community started an online petition on Change.org requesting that Robinhood list LUNC on its exchange.
Detailed Information About The Petition
According to Change.org, a Terra Classic fan named QDS Land started the petition about a month ago. The petition requires at least 5,000 signatures but had only 3,725 as of press time.
“The people of #LuncCommunity are seeking to list the Terra Luna Classic Coin (LUNC) on the Robinhood platform,” the petition read.
In QDS Land’s opinion, listing LUNC on Robinhood will benefit both the LUNC community and Robinhood. There are currently over 1.5 million LUNC holders who conduct billions of dollars in daily trading volume, according to QDS Land.
Over 300,000 wallets were created four months before the petition was launched on Change.org, according to the LUNC supporter.
“[As] you can see, with these kinds of numbers, this would also benefit your platform as well, […] With that being said, we would formally like to ask you if you would list us on Robinhood, one of the BEST platforms as well,” QDS Land added.
Robinhood has not yet responded to the petition from LUNC investors. Although the petition has yet to receive 5,000 signatures due to Terra’s crisis, it is unclear whether Robinhood will list LUNC even after the 5,000 signatures are obtained.
Crypto Space And Petition Adoption
In the meantime, the cryptocurrency community is beginning to see the effects of online petitions on cryptocurrency trading platforms. The Shiba Inu community took the initiative to get Robinhood to list SHIB on its zero-commission trading platform.
There were 559,737 signatures collected in a short period of time for the petition, which required 1 million signatures. A total of 559,737 signatures convinced Robinhood to list SHIB, and the Shiba Inu token has now been listed.
Other crypto projects have since adopted the approach.
