Shibarium, the layer-2 blockchain of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, has crossed a significant threshold. According to fresh data shared by the SHIB-affiliated account @Shibizens on X, the total transaction count has now surged past 1.32 billion, reflecting growing adoption and activity within the network.
Over 264,000 New Transactions Recorded in 24 Hours
As of July 3, Shibarium’s total transaction volume stands at 1,322,819,504. Just a day prior, the count sat at 1,319,244,781. This means the network processed more than 264,000 new transactions in the past 24 hours alone, a strong indication of consistent user engagement and activity.

This marks an addition of 13,203 blocks within a single day. In parallel, the number of connected wallets rose by 2,364, bringing the total to 266,784,522. These figures collectively underline the expanding scope of the Shibarium ecosystem.
SHIB Metaverse Gets Major Performance Upgrade
In addition to transaction growth, the Shiba Inu team has unveiled significant upgrades to its metaverse platform. According to the announcement, the team has enhanced the performance of key virtual hubs Shib Station, Technology Trench, and Bark Park making the experience smoother and more immersive.

They optimized over 200 texture files, which led to a 15-25% reduction in GPU memory usage. Other improvements include faster load times, lower VRAM consumption, sharper lighting, and improved environmental details. These upgrades aim to provide users with a more seamless and visually appealing experience.
