Shiba Inu’s Developer Sets the Record Straight on Shiba Eternity

Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, clarified that Shiba Eternity is not part of the K9 ecosystem, correcting a misleading statement from K9 Finance’s co-founder, Buzz. This response came after Buzz incorrectly included Shiba Eternity in a list of projects associated with the K9 ecosystem.

The Confusion Over Ecosystems

Buzz had quoted a tweet from Seizan Shib, a K9 community member who was promoting a live stream for the K9 Finance DAO’s Bonecrusher Testnet. This event was designed to showcase the progress of K9 Finance DAO’s liquid staking project, which is set to launch on September 18. In his tweet, Buzz encouraged users to join the live stream, mentioning that promotions for K9 ecosystem projects would be part of the event.

He listed the Living the Dream (LTD) token, Bad Idea AI, and Shiba Eternity among the projects. Two days later, Shytoshi Kusama noticed the tweet and responded to clarify the situation. Kusama emphasized that Shiba Eternity is not part of the K9 ecosystem but instead belongs to the Shiba Inu ecosystem. This distinction was important to avoid confusion within the community. Shiba Eternity is a popular card trading game based on the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Launched in 2022, it has gained popularity within the Shiba Inu community and the broader crypto world.

The game, which was initially a Web3 game, is a two-player online experience where players use spells and cards to reduce their opponent’s life to zero. The Shiba Inu team is currently working on integrating the game into the Shibarium network, with significant progress already made, including the launch of a closed beta version for testing last week.

Apology from K9 Finance’s Co-Founder

After Kusama’s clarification, Buzz quickly corrected his earlier statements, acknowledging that Shiba Eternity is part of the Shiba ecosystem, not K9’s. He apologized to both the lead developer and the Shiba Inu community for the misinformation.

I would also like to apologize to the Shib

community & @ShytoshiKusama if my tweet

caused any confusion.

The community accepted the apology, understanding the mix-up. Following these developments, both KNINE and SHIB tokens experienced a broader market correction, with KNINE dropping 2.5% and SHIB down 1%.

As of Tuesday, SHIB traded at $0.00001475, while KNINE was valued at $0.00001349.
