Shiba Inu (SHIB) continues to stir excitement in the crypto world with its long-standing goal of reaching a price point of $0.01 per token. However, a major obstacle stands in the way—its massive circulating supply of over 589.25 trillion SHIB.
At its current price of $0.00001092, SHIB would require an astronomical surge of 81,599% to hit the $0.01 milestone. Although the math appears daunting, the dream remains alive for early investors and SHIB enthusiasts.
The Value of the $0.01 Dream
A price surge to $0.01 would transform small portfolios into life-changing investments. For example, anyone holding 50 million SHIB worth around $612 would see its value skyrocket to $500,000 at the projected target.
The appeal is clear; this potential explains why the SHIB community continues to hold out hope. Yet, the reality of this goal calls for deeper evaluation.
Despite the massive leap required, insiders and analysts believe the $0.01 goal is possible, albeit over an extended period. Last year, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, confirmed her belief in the token’s ability to eventually hit the target. She also admitted it could take many years to reach that point.
Similarly, crypto commentator Del Crxpto expressed optimism, comparing SHIB’s journey to Dogecoin’s historic price climb between 2013 and 2017. Meanwhile, analysts at Changelly forecast that SHIB could trade at $0.01 by July 2040, predicting a possible high of $0.0104 within that time frame.

Is $0.01 Realistic with 589 trillion SHIB?
Here lies the central issue: supply. With a circulating supply of 589.25 trillion tokens, Shiba Inu would need a market cap of nearly $5.89 trillion to support a $0.01 valuation. That figure exceeds the current global crypto market, which is about $2.65 trillion.
Given this, reaching $0.01 without addressing the supply imbalance seems virtually impossible.
For SHIB to realistically reach $0.01, its supply must shrink significantly. Since launching with 1 quadrillion tokens in 2020, the community has already burned over 410.74 trillion SHIB. This is an impressive achievement, yet more burns are needed to make real price elevation possible.
One key effort is tied to Shibarium, the project’s Layer 2 blockchain. A portion of Shibarium gas fees goes directly toward burning SHIB. These burns have destroyed over 56 billion SHIB tokens, signaling progress—but not enough to tip the scale.
The Role of Community Dedication
Moving forward, the community’s role becomes even more crucial. If SHIB holders actively participate in voluntary burns and send tokens to dead wallets, the supply could be reduced faster. It would require consistent commitment from individual investors, the ecosystem developers, and broader community initiatives.

Shiba Inu’s journey to $0.01 remains one of the most ambitious goals in the crypto space. While technically possible, the path demands major token burns, long-term commitment, and strategic coordination across the ecosystem.
Until then, SHIB holders must balance optimism with patience because reaching that dream means reshaping not just the token’s value but its very economic structure.
