Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, echoed a bold claim by crypto commentator Luis Delgado, aka Del Crxpto. He agreed that revenue, not utility, drives a crypto project’s success. Delgado’s statement, which he labeled a “reality check,” dismissed the widespread belief that utility drives value in crypto. He argued that, like any traditional business, a project’s success ultimately depends on its ability to generate income.
Kusama backed Delgado’s claim, saying, “This is exactly what I’ve been saying and WHY we have been doing what we have been doing.” His comment suggests the Shiba Inu team has long prioritized revenue-focused strategies.
SHIB Team Focused on Long-Term Value
Kusama’s remarks hint that Shiba Inu’s ongoing initiatives aim to build real value through sustainable revenue streams. He suggested that the project’s design has always centered around this principle. Furthermore, he teased the upcoming release of a strategic plan that may lay out the team’s roadmap for increasing revenue and improving SHIB’s market standing.

However, he questioned whether the community would support the groundwork already laid and the new plans set to be introduced. He emphasized that the community’s response would ultimately determine the plan’s success.

Delgado responded with optimism. He stated that the SHIB community would take time to understand the strategic vision and technological advances before backing the plan fully. He added that once educated, the community would “run with it,” ensuring its success.
In addition to the strategic plan, Kusama revealed plans for an AI-focused paper that will explain how Shiba Inu aims to integrate artificial intelligence into its ecosystem. Although he did not provide a specific release date, he hinted that the team may unveil these AI initiatives this July rebranded as “JUL-AI.”
