Shytoshi Kusama, the well-known figure driving the Shiba Inu ecosystem, has announced a significant shift in his role. He revealed this on X that he will step down as the lead visionary to become the ecosystem’s lead ambassador.
Transition Marks Key Milestone for Shiba Inu
This role change comes at a pivotal moment for Shiba Inu, which has evolved from a meme coin into a thriving Web3 ecosystem. Kusama, inspired by the vision of Shiba Inu’s founder Ryoshi, reflected on his journey. Starting with a modest investment, he has overseen the creation of essential ecosystem components like tokens BONE, LEASH, TREAT, and platforms such as ShibaSwap and Shibarium.

Kusama acknowledged some ongoing projects, including Shib’s stablecoin and Shibacon, but expressed pride in the community’s accomplishments.
Shiba Inu Grows Beyond a Crypto Asset
Under his leadership, Shiba Inu matured into a “Network State,” enabling businesses, governments, and individuals to transition from Web2 to Web3. Shibarium, a critical part of the ecosystem, has handled 800 million transactions since its launch in August 2023 without issues.
Kusama also highlighted the ecosystem’s shift to a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), which empowers the community to take control.
Focus Shifts to Global Adoption
In his new role, Kusama aims to promote Shiba Inu’s technologies globally. His efforts will center on expanding ShibOS, a rebranded suite of tools previously known as the 36 Chambers of Tech. This platform offers advanced Web3 integration solutions, appealing to businesses and governments.

Kusama plans to enhance ShibOS by partnering with industries and integrating new technologies like AstraNova. He hopes to position Shiba Inu as a Web3 leader while finalizing ecosystem projects.
Over the past six months, Kusama has engaged with global leaders, celebrities, and NGOs to raise awareness about Shiba Inu. He aims to leverage these connections to foster partnerships and promote projects using Shibarium and ShibOS.
Additionally, he will pursue personal initiatives, including creating the “44 Tenets to Triumph in Crypto.” Despite his role change, Kusama remains committed to advancing Shiba Inu’s ecosystem through strategic collaborations.
