The lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, fueled speculation by posting the enigmatic message directly on the official Shibarium Telegram group, suggesting a potential link between the anticipated announcement and Shibarium, the project’s Layer 2 (L2) blockchain. This conjecture arises as Shibarium recently garnered attention for executing its inaugural SHIB burns, incinerating over $75,000 worth of SHIB using a portion of Shibarium fees.
Following the SHIB burns, discussions emerged within the community suggesting the possibility of burning Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) tokens alongside SHIB. However, Kusama dismissed this notion, asserting that the team focused solely on burning SHIB.
