Shiba Inu could be heading to Asia as lead developer Shytoshi Kusama revealed that he plans to improve SHIB adoption in Vietnam. Therefore, Vietnamese-based SHIB members are in for a special treat.
Kusama initially asked if there were Vietnamese SHIB investors via a tweet today and asked them to indicate a “hello” in the comment section.
“Where is Vietnam #ShibArmy? Say hello in the comments,” Kusama tweeted.
After getting a significant response from SHIB enthusiasts from Vietnam, he was encouraged to make his announcement.
“Great! I have a special treat for Vietnam soon. I’ll keep you all posted. Just making sure we are present in that region,” he added.
Lead Developer Pushes for the Growth of Shiba Inu
This development is part of a move to boost the mainstream adoption of SHIB in Vietnam. Therefore, the success of this initiative will determine if Kusama will take the special treats to other countries.
The second biggest memecoin is one of the fastest-growing cryptocurrencies in the market. The Dogecoinkiller, which launched in August 2020, has been widely adopted across various parts of the world.
According to data on cryptocurrency aggregator platform Etherscan, there are now more than 1.2 million unique holders of SHIB tokens. Currently, Shiba Inu has a total of 1,209,585 individual holders.
Consequently, the meme token will take a new turn when more people adopt it as payment, especially in Vietnam.
SHIB Team Develops Significant Projects
It is not surprising to see the second biggest dog-themed token attract lots of investors less than two years after launching; the team behind the cryptocurrency has been rolling out worthwhile projects for the coin.
So far, the team has developed an official burn portal, metaverse project, and decentralised exchange and is also planning to launch a Layer-2 blockchain dubbed Shibarium.
