As the Shiba Inu community eagerly anticipates the launch of a new privacy layer-3 (L3) blockchain, administrator Ragnar has brought attention to the crucial role of ecosystem tokens in this upcoming development.
Highlighting the collaborative efforts of ecosystem tokens within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, Ragnar shared insights from a recent post authored by Buzz, the founder of K9 Finance DAO, a partner of Shibarium.
I recommend everyone who has questions about how SHIB ecosystem tokens will work together with K9Finance. Here you have a nice explanation, even one about how Treat will work in our new SHIB privacy layer coming soon to the Shiba ecosystem. https://t.co/n97lrVABhy

BONE: The Gas Token on Shibarium
BONE, the ecosystem’s gas token, retains its significance on Shibarium, the primary layer-2 blockchain. As Shibarium functions on a proof-of-stake network, validators are pivotal, receiving BONE rewards for contributing computing power. BONE holders can delegate tokens to validators, enhancing network security and earning yields.

TREAT, likened to a transaction “tip,” is set to bolster privacy on Shibarium L2 once officially launched. This multi-functional asset will play a vital role in the ecosystem, particularly within the L3 privacy chain in development.
Meanwhile, KNINE serves as the staking infrastructure for Shibarium, doubling as a governance token. It enables stake-to-earn opportunities through the K9 DAO infrastructure. KNINE’s recent launch witnessed a staggering 700% surge within a week.
Delegated Token “knBONE
Buzz introduced “knBONE,” a delegated token representing BONE in a 1:1 ratio. Created when individuals delegate and lock their BONE, knBONE facilitates enhanced network security and yield generation. Notably, there are no fractional reserves, ensuring transparency in token management.

Responding to community inquiries, Buzz addressed concerns regarding staking dynamics. In a scenario where the value of tokens fluctuates, users may receive fewer knBONE tokens upon conversion. However, the original staked tokens remain unaffected, with the discrepancy benefiting other participants.

As the Shiba Inu ecosystem braces for the launch of its L3 blockchain, the collaborative functionality of ecosystem tokens emerges as a cornerstone. However, with BONE, TREAT, KNINE, and knBONE each fulfilling distinct roles, the ecosystem is poised for enhanced efficiency and security in its blockchain operations.
