Shiba Inu Devs Spur Interest in THE SHIBOSHIS NFT Collection With Upcoming Comic Book

THE SHIBOSHIS' Floor Price Soars After Developers Tease Comic Book

In October 2021, the Shiba Inu ecosystem launched a collection of 10,000 unique non-fungible tokens (NFTs) called THE SHIBOSHIS. This marked their first foray into Web3 and the metaverse.

Shiba Inu developers have hinted at releasing a comic book that will feature pixelated dog images of THE SHIBOSHIS NFT collection. They made this announcement through a tweet on the newly created Twitter page for the collection as part of their efforts to add value for the NFT holders.

The lead developer of Shiba Inu, Shytoshi Kusama, had previously hinted at a surprise for the holders of THE SHIBOSHIS NFT collection in recent weeks. Following the announcement of the upcoming comic book featuring the NFTs, the developer reacted with interest, tweeting, “Well… that’s interesting” yesterday.

The announcement of the upcoming comic book featuring the SHIBOSHIS NFTs has reignited interest in the project, leading many users to share their digital collectibles on the Shibarium Technology Discord platform.

The renewed interest in THE SHIBOSHIS NFT collection due to the announcement of the upcoming comic book has increased the floor price of the NFTs. The current floor price for a SHIBOSHI NFT is 0.3748 ETH, approximately $715.58 as of writing this. The floor price represents the minimum acceptable bid for purchasing one of the NFTs, and it has increased by 9.9% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinGecko.

However, the recent teaser for the comic book featuring THE SHIBOSHIS NFTs may have unintended impacted another project called Shadow Cats, which is promoted as the rival of the Shiba Inu ecosystem. The teaser included a mention of Shadow Cats, and as a result, the ERC20 token associated with the project has experienced an increase of over 89% in value in the last 24 hours.

Earlier this year, the developers of THE SHIBOSHIS NFT collection collaborated with The Bugatti Group to create a special NFT collection exclusively for the original holders of THE SHIBOSHIS NFTs. The new NFTs allowed the holders to own physical items designed by the luxury luggage brand.

In addition, the new NFT collection launched in collaboration with The Bugatti Group was designed to play a crucial role in the blockchain version of the Shiba Inu ecosystem’s card collection game called Shiba Eternity. The original NFT holders would have the option to lease their NFTs to players for a share of rewards. The blockchain version of the game is expected to launch on Shibarium, the ecosystem’s Layer 1 Ethereum solution.
