Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya has voiced concerns over Shibarium’s exclusion from blockchain rankings compared to other prominent networks. The discussion arose while evaluating inscription counts across blockchains by analytics firm Dune.
The focus was on Polygon’s successful inscription stress test, which recorded over 161 million inscriptions. While BNB Chain, Avalanche, and Fantom displayed impressive numbers, Dhairya emphasised that Shibarium’s achievements, similar to others, should be acknowledged on analytic dashboards.
Further, the developer urged recognition for Shiba Inu’s network, emphasising its comparable success in the crypto ecosystem. Kaal Dhairya noted key reasons the analytic dashboard should incorporate transactional activities from the Shibarium network.
Shiba Inu: Shibarium Hits 130 Million Transactions, Outpaces Competitors
Dhairya noted that Shibarium achieved a milestone of 130 million faster than other ranked blockchains. He emphasised that Shiba reached this landmark quickly while maintaining the lowest gas fees. This contrasted with the trend in other networks where gas fees would have soared. Dhairya expressed pride in Shibarium’s achievement.
Recent data indicates that Polygon, BNB Chain, and Avalanche inscriptions made up 57% of total traffic last week. Additionally, Arbitrum experienced disruptions due to a surge in volume attributed to increased inscriptions.
The remarks from Kaal Dhairya about the undervalued significance of Shibarium prompted a response from Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous leader of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, conveyed through emojis suggesting, “Take a look at this.”
Another Shiba Inu enthusiast commented, “We are breaking all kinds of records. Guinness Book of Worldwide Records might have to have a chapter just for Shiba Inu.”
In the sixth edition of Shiba Inu magazine, the Shibarium team highlighted the rise of SRC-20 inscriptions on its platform. SRC-20 inscriptions, a form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), gained traction with the introduction of ordinal inscriptions on the Bitcoin network earlier this year.
Other networks, including Polygon, BNB, and Avalanche, have embraced native inscriptions, and Shibarium aims to dominate the layer-2 scaling solution with SRC-20 inscriptions.
