The Shiba Inu community has reason to celebrate as Shibacals embarks on delivering SHIB-themed Champion hoodies. Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous lead developer of Shiba Inu, expressed his enthusiasm in response to an update from Shibacals, a unique real-world component of the SHIB ecosystem.
Shibacals took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the exciting news that they’ve dispatched the first batch of Shiba Inu-themed Champion hoodies to eager buyers. “1st batch of hoodies are now being sent. The full process will take 2-3 weeks,” Shibacals announced.
The initial batch includes 398 hoodies, and Shibacals keeps the portal open for other Shiba enthusiasts to order. Furthermore, as a generous gesture, they have reduced the price from $75 to $55, enhancing accessibility for the community.

Shibacals Update Ignites Enthusiasm in the Shiba Inu Community
Unsurprisingly, this update from Shibacals sparked jubilation within the Shiba Inu community. Shytoshi Kusama, Shiba Inu’s lead developer, marked the occasion with a celebratory “party proper” emoji.
The official Shiba Inu studio, Shibacals, actively dedicates itself to bridging the gap between non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and physical items by employing innovative NFC chips for digitally authenticating real-world collections, thereby enhancing the value of these tangible assets.
Significant Strides Made by Shibacals
Despite its recent debut in June, Shibacals has made remarkable strides in a short period. Notably, they’ve partnered with the renowned multinational tech giant Hewlett-Packard (HP) to produce physical products using cutting-edge 3D technology.
With Shibacals, the Shib community gains the capability to create high-quality items for personal use, business ventures, or community initiatives. Notably, their items can be delivered worldwide through UPS Global Shipping.
Shibacals Contest Design
Recalling an earlier announcement, Shibacals initiated a hoodie design contest back in June, aiming to select five designs from the community. Two designs were already chosen from top community members, SirShibsAlot and ShibHead.
They invited the community to submit their designs to fill the remaining three spots. Contest winners are entitled to a percentage of the sales proceeds. The selection criteria encompass representation, coolness, originality, and creativity.

After the design selections, Shibacals launched the public sale of Shiba Inu-themed Champion hoodies under the tag “Shiba Inu: 1st edition.” The sale commenced on August 6 and concluded on August 16, 2023, per Shibacals.
As a component of their marketing strategy, they plan to offer buyers of these hoodies a free tote bag.
Apart from the hoodie design contest, Shibacals has also announced intentions for a giveaway, which involves distributing 30 Champion hoodie prototypes to the community. These innovative and exciting developments contribute to the thriving of the Shib ecosystem.
