Shibarmy Scam Alerts has issued a critical warning regarding a fake airdrop for BONE tokens, targeting unsuspecting members of the Shiba Inu community. Malicious actors persistently seek out new ways to exploit unsuspecting investors, especially those enthusiastic about SHIB-related projects like Shiba Inu.
The latest scam centers around Bone ShibaSwap (BONE), the gas fee token of Shibarium. According to Shibarmy Scam Alert (@susbarium), an illicit email has been uncovered, urging Shiba Inu community members to participate in an airdrop to claim BONE tokens.
Deceptive Tactics Exposed
Details from an accompanying screenshot reveal that scammers inform potential victims about their eligibility to claim BONE as part of an ongoing token airdrop program. Users are urged to click the link in the email to claim the so-called BONE rewards.

The community-driven scam channel issued warnings to users who received the email, advising them not to fall for the scam as there is no official airdrop for BONE. To avoid becoming victims, advisers recommend that users delete the message and refrain from clicking the attached link or picture.
Clicking the link could redirect users to a malicious website, granting bad actors control over users’ funds. Scams like this typically lead victims to a malicious website where they connect their wallets, unwittingly granting the scammers complete access to their funds.

This is not the first time scammers have targeted Shiba Inu enthusiasts. Shibarmy Scam Alert has exposed numerous scams targeting the community. Moreover, on April 16, the channel exposed common scam tactics, including redirecting users to malicious websites to steal information and funds.
