Lucie, the social media marketing lead for the Shiba Inu development team and a notable figure in the cryptocurrency world, has issued a vital statement about the BONE token. She emphasized its critical role in all SHIB projects built on Shibarium. Additionally, Lucie highlighted a significant achievement from the closed beta of the Shiba Eternity game, which is currently exclusive to LEASH token holders.
Importance of BONE for SHIB Projects
Lucie made it clear that the Bone Shibaswap (BONE) token is essential for every project the SHIB team develops on the Shibarium layer-2 solution. She tweeted that “everything on Shibarium relies on BONE,” describing it as a “crucial element” for all blockchain operations and upgrades. BONE is not only integral to the functionality of Shibarium but also plays a key role in the burning of Shiba Inu tokens.
On Shibarium, users pay gas fees in BONE. Some of these fees convert into SHIB tokens, which then get burned by being locked in unspendable wallets permanently. The recently launched SHIB burn portal on Shibarium automates this process, continuously removing SHIB tokens from circulation.

In a recent update, Lucie announced a major milestone reached by the closed beta of the Shiba Eternity smartphone game. This beta, accessible only to LEASH holders, has seen testers minting 140,000 NFTs on Shibarium. Lucie highlighted this achievement as a testament to the platform’s “power and scalability.” She also noted the cost-efficiency, with the NFT transactions requiring just 800 BONE in gas fees, equivalent to about $310.
Shibarium’s Low Transaction Fees
Lucie reminded the community that over 1.4 million Shiba Inu holders are on-chain, many of whom actively use Shibarium. This reinforces one of Shibarium’s key strengths—its exceptionally low transaction fees.

Given the high volume of NFT minting, this feature proves especially valuable. Lucie described Shibarium as “ideal for large-scale NFT projects.” Although the 800 BONE fees were sponsored, she did not disclose the sponsor’s identity.
This update from Lucie underscores BONE’s pivotal role in the SHIB ecosystem and demonstrates Shibarium’s efficiency and effectiveness for large-scale projects.
