Within the last 12 hours, Ripple made significant XRP transfers totaling 146.92 million tokens. These transactions, split into three distinct movements, have captured the crypto community’s attention due to their size and timing. In the first transfer, a Ripple wallet labeled “r4w…Rzn” sent 26.72 million XRP to the Bitstamp exchange at 19:48 UTC. This initial movement set the stage for further substantial transactions that followed shortly thereafter.

Second Transfer: 100 Million XRP Between Ripple Wallets

These internal movements have sparked questions within the community about Ripple’s strategy and objectives.
Ripple continued its activity with a third transaction. The wallet “r4w…Rzn” transferred 20.2 million XRP to the Bitso exchange. These cumulative transfers, totaling 46.92 million XRP, suggest Ripple is actively channeling XRP into exchanges, and the “r4w…Rzn” wallet is central to these operations.
Whale Movements Raise Eyebrows
At the same time, Whale Alert detected another major transaction of 104.16 million XRP, worth approximately $59.02 million. This transfer occurred on August 11, 2024, involving unknown wallets. It coincided with a 3.9% drop in XRP’s price, even though XRP had increased by over 20% the week before, closing at $0.5681.

Despite the hefty transfer volumes, XRP’s trading volume decreased by 16.27%, settling at $1,085,839,907. Simultaneously, XRP’s price dipped to $0.5679. Over the past 24 hours, XRP experienced a 2.04% decline in price, and over the past week, a 5.09% drop. It’s important to note that these large-scale transactions typically involve on-chain movements rather than direct trades on exchanges, which lessens their immediate impact on trading volume.
