Garlinghouse highlighted the key differences between Bitcoin and XRP, focusing on speed and transaction costs. He explained that engineers designed XRP to solve Bitcoin’s scalability problems. A

ccording to him, Bitcoin transactions move slowly and cost more, while XRP processes payments much faster and cheaper. He stated that XRP is “about a thousand times faster per transaction and a thousand times cheaper per transaction.”
