NFTs have received a lot of publicity this year and OpenSea has already broken its monthly transaction volume record. We see investments in this space by long-established companies like Samsung, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz e.t.c. Additionally, top celebrities like Eminem and Tory Lanez have also made significant investments in this space this year.
Experiential NFTs Offer Holders a New Level of Experience
According to an announcement on January 20, the famous actress Lindsay Lohan enters the realm of non-fungible tokens with her Experiential NFTs. These tokens are sold on the Superfandom market. The famous actress will also act as a consultant for the platform, helping it attract more users and like celebrities.
As she ventures into NFTs, she joins the ranks of several celebrities and entertainment stars issuing NFT tokens. More have even entered the field as collectors, and some have even started their own NFT companies.
Experiential NFTs are unique because they offer rare benefits to holders. They allow fans to interact with celebrities or get special access. For example, singers issuing these digital tokens can offer holders premium access to shows and listening parties.
Superfandom to Assist Celebrities Looking to Monetize Their Content
Built on the Stacks blockchain, Superfandom caters to celebrities looking to monetize their fame and fans who want special access to those stars.
Actors like Riya Sen and Jake Busey, singer Jubin Nautiyal and interior design star Richard Karn are already on the platform’s list. However, Lindsay Lohan will be the biggest star to join the platform so far.
This is a strategic move by Superfandom as the Rare Sense subsidiary looks to gain more stake in this space. Superfandom is one of the first successful projects in the Stacks Accelerator.
According to CSO Sophia Pervez, Experiential NFTs are like regular NFTs. For creators, as digital works of art, they’re better than typical NFTs.
For Lindsay Lohan, this won’t be her first foray into the crypto industry. Earlier this year, the Hollywood star promoted All Coins Yield Capital (ACY Capital), a platform that exposes users to meme coins, DeFi, and NFTs. As such, she knows the industry inside out and just wants to expand her portfolio.
