BitPay, a blockchain payments firm, announced in a blog post that Hublot now accepts cryptocurrency payments for its luxury watches on Hublot’s online eBoutique. Some of the brand’s most iconic pieces are included in the collection.

“Legendary watchmaker Hublot, known for unique and daring timepieces, announced it will accept cryptocurrency through its online eBoutique,” BitPay wrote. “Many of its iconic timepieces, including the newly released Big Bang Unico Essential Grey, are available online for purchase and can be bought with cryptocurrency via BitPay.”

BitPay users can make these purchases in a few simple steps. Users must first visit the official Hublot website, choose the wristwatch they want to buy, and then pay with BitPay at the checkout. At this point, users must choose their preferred crypto assets from a list of 13 popular cryptocurrencies, including favorites such as bitcoin and Shiba Inu. They can then proceed to choose their crypto wallet and make the payment.
What This Means for BitPay Users
Notably, BitPay users can purchase watches such as the Big Bang Unico Essential Grey, Classic Fusion Bronze Brass, and Big Bang Unico UEFA Champions League.
BitPay has grown in popularity among crypto enthusiasts as a trusted way to purchase various items using their preferred cryptocurrency. For example, apple devices and airline tickets have recently been added to the list of options.

According to a June report, the payments company has partnered with US retail giant Newegg to allow users to purchase their favorite Apple products using cryptocurrency. Earlier that month, BitPay announced a partnership with Vueling, one of Europe’s most popular budget airlines, to allow users to pay for flights with cryptocurrency.
Hublot has joined other luxury brands such as Balenciaga and Gucci in accepting cryptocurrency payments.
Bitpay also accepts Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Wrapped Bitcoin as altcoins.
