Flickto (FLICK) is a new project in the Cardano (ADA) ecosystem that seeks to democratize its fundraising methods in the media sector.
Flickto to Combine ADA Staking and Media Fundraising
According to an announcement on November 11, The Flickto product launched in the fourth quarter of 2021 and is applying as a community-driven media launchpad on the Cardano (ADA) blockchain.
Its business model enables crypto enthusiasts to vote for projects that can receive funding and benefit from their revenues.
To secure funding for early media products (films, TV shows, streaming content, music albums, etc.), the Flickto (FLICK) team used the Initial Equity Pool Offering (ISPO) concept.
Flickto’s ISPO designs will have a dual structure: they will be used for Flickto funding and will support media projects selected by the FLICK owner community.
To join the Flickto ecosystem, cryptocurrency enthusiasts should sign their Cardano (ADA) tokens to support the Flickto staking pool. Because of this, the system rewards them with FLICK tokens instead of ADA rewards.
In addition to the regular rewards, ADA holders who support Flickto are entitled to exclusive NFT airdrops based on media projects using the platform.
For content producers, Flickto can also act as a trusted decentralized distributor. The copyright of the side project is protected by the integrity of the Cardano (ADA) Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus.
Projects and Their Tokens: What is FLICK?
Before the numerous announcements, award-winning artists, directors and producers joined Flickto.
The experienced directors Geraint Havard Jones and Ben Morris work at Flickto as publishing consultants in the media industry.
FLICK is Flickto’s central native cryptocurrency token and a key element of its distributed tokenomics structure. The firm offer is 5 billion FLICK; 40% of this offer will be earmarked for ISPO rewards and 20% will be used for IDO and public token sales. 15% will drive liquidity initiatives.
FLICK tokens can be traded on centralized and decentralized cryptocurrency trading platforms. Hence, stakers will be able to support Flickto’s liquidity ecosystem through many CEX and DEX.
Flickto’s ISPO went live on November 1st, 2021, which is the 300th era of Cardano betting. ISPO will initially run 32 consecutive epochs. The reward rate is high: for each ADA supported by Flickto that is blocked, 0.15 FLICK will be awarded for each Cardano (ADA) epoch.
The minimum amount of ADA to qualify for FLICK rewards is limited to 10 tokens. The secondary ISPO phase begins in April 2022. The exact time of the public sale and IDO will be announced shortly.
