Ethereum Co-founder reveals plans to leave the Crypto industry

Ethereum Co-founder Plans to Leave the Crypto World Following its Unsafe Space

Anthony Di Iorio is one of the co-founders of Ethereum and has confirmed that he will leave the world of cryptocurrency. Di Iorio stated that he will be leaving the world of cryptocurrencies for security reasons, among other things. Although he didn’t give specific details, he added that he doesn’t want to be a cryptocurrency man, but a man who deals with complex problems.

Di Iorio Left Ethereum Few Years After

In 2013, Di Iorio founded Ethereum with Charles Hoskinson from Cardano, Vitalik Buterin and Gavin Wood from Polkadot. The project has become the network of choice for creating thousands of projects.

In addition, the market value has grown to around $225 billion. A few years after the founding of Ethereum, Di Iorio left the project like most of the co-founders. In fact, he later founded Decentral, an innovation centre in Toronto that focuses on the decentralized technology he was working on. The company launched Jaxx, a popular crypto wallet that has grown in popularity. In 2021, the wallet had more than a million customers.

In addition to his work at Decentral, he also advises many startups with a focus on crypto and blockchain. Having been in contact with Ethereum and being an early investor in many projects, Forbes estimated his net worth at around $1 billion in 2018.

The founder now says the industry is unsettled. “I don’t feel necessarily safe in this space. If I was focused on larger problems, I think I’d be safer,” he continued. But he didn’t state what threats or security issues he faced.

Which Industry is Di Iorio Going Next?

Di Iorio has confirmed the sale of Decentral and is already in discussions with several potential customers. He hopes to sell the company for hundreds of millions of dollars. It is not clear how he will use the funds, but he hopes to sell the company in fiat currency or equity instead of cryptocurrency.

Away from the crypto world, the entrepreneur took part in Project Arrow, which is building an emission-free vehicle. Starting with a school friend, he can give anything to take part in this project.

For a small fraction of the global demand, he concluded that it “will incorporate crypto when needed, but a lot of times, it’s not.”
