Congratulations to all the @Lace_io team and thanks to you, the #CardanoCommunity, for getting us here.#Cardano https://t.co/NS8GSH0sKN
According to an announcement by the team behind Lace, the mainnet was released after several months of beta testing.
Lace is the first wallet specifically designed for the Cardano ecosystem. As such, it is a significant development in the ongoing growth and expansion of the Cardano network. The platform was developed by Input Output Global (IOG), the research and development arm responsible for building the core infrastructure of Cardano.
Lace Wallet Features
Lace, the newly launched cryptocurrency wallet platform for Cardano’s IOG, offers features that are similar to other popular crypto wallets like MetaMask and Trust Wallet, such as a web3 browser. However, Lace specifically focuses on providing Cardano enthusiasts with direct access to decentralized applications (dApps) built on the Cardano blockchain.

In addition to these features, users can also utilize Lace to stake their ADA tokens, which contributes to the overall security of the Cardano network. By staking their tokens, users can earn rewards while helping maintain the integrity and stability of the network. Lace also can send and receive ADA, the native cryptocurrency of the Cardano network, as well as other tokens and Cardano-based NFTs.
The bundle transaction feature allows users to send multiple assets to different addresses within a single transaction.
Lace is currently only available as a browser extension, although the development team plans to release a desktop app. However, the team has not yet disclosed any plans to launch a mobile version of the wallet.
Despite already having several useful features, such as the bundle transaction feature and the ability to stake ADA tokens, the developers of Lace have announced plans to roll out even more features in future releases. These features include in-wallet swaps, a dApp store, fiat-to-crypto on-ramps, and multi-delegation capabilities.
