Cardano Network Grows as Whale Moves Nearly 69M ADA

Cardano Community Urges Coinbase to List Native Tokens After New Guide

Blockchain tracking platform Whale Alert has detected a massive transfer of 68,769,654 ADA tokens. The transfer originated from Coinbase, the largest U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange, which recently secured a spot in the S&P 500 index. The ADA tokens, worth approximately $52.96 million at the time of the transfer, moved to an unidentified blockchain wallet. This transaction occurred just over an hour ago, drawing attention from market observers and Cardano investors alike.

Cardano Price Declines Amid Market Volatility

At the time of the transfer, ADA had declined by 7.7% over the previous 24 hours, falling from a high of $0.8293. However, the token has managed a slight recovery, climbing 1.5% to trade at $0.7754. As of the latest update, ADA is priced at $0.7728. Despite this modest bounce, the price action remains under pressure due to broader market fluctuations and a developing bearish chart pattern.

The large-scale ADA withdrawal from Coinbase has fueled speculation among traders and analysts. Many interpret the move as part of a strategic accumulation effort. With Cardano ranking among the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap, substantial off-exchange transfers often signal long-term holding intentions rather than immediate sell-offs.

Supporting this interpretation, the Cardano network continues to expand its user base. According to recent data, over 255,000 new ADA wallets have been created this year, averaging nearly 1,700 new addresses per day. This steady growth in wallet creation suggests increasing interest in the blockchain, even as short-term technical signals point to caution.

Triple Top Pattern Raises Concerns

However, technical analysis reveals that ADA has formed a triple top pattern—a bearish reversal formation. This chart pattern includes three peaks reaching similar price levels, signaling fading bullish momentum and a potential shift toward a downtrend. Between May 7 and May 12, ADA surged 28.53%, climbing from $0.6588 to $0.8468.

But the repeated failure to break resistance has now raised red flags among traders. The recent transfer of nearly 69 million ADA from Coinbase to a private wallet suggests that high-net-worth individuals or institutions may be positioning for long-term gains. However, ADA’s near-term outlook appears mixed.

While wallet growth and large withdrawals suggest confidence in the project, bearish technical patterns and market volatility continue to weigh on price momentum. Investors will closely monitor whether Cardano can maintain its current support or enter a deeper correction in the coming days.
