Input Output (IOHK), the company behind Cardano blockchain, has released its latest development report, showcasing major advancements in several areas of the ecosystem. The report highlights efforts in scaling, governance, Project Catalyst, and education. Currently, 1,373 projects are being built on the Cardano network, and there are approximately 1.33 million delegated wallets. Cardano also supports 10.36 million native tokens, with 165,546 token policies managing asset governance and control.
The number of deployed Plutus scripts has now reached 84,783, reflecting the increasing adoption of smart contracts. Cardano’s transaction volume has surged to 96.38 million, marking significant growth.

Mithril Network Decentralization
The report underscores progress in scaling, especially with the Mithril network’s decentralization. The Mithril team has implemented a buffer store to manage signatures awaiting processing and refined the signer’s state machine to improve performance. These updates aim to enhance Cardano’s transaction capabilities.

The performance and tracing team has also contributed by releasing benchmarks for node version 9.1.1 and resolving issues related to UTXO-HD RAM usage, optimizing the system’s efficiency.
Governance is a central focus, with ongoing developments in the Voltaire phase. Intersect MBO, which includes Input Output, manages this governance framework. Applications for committee and board seats are open until September 27, offering the community a role in shaping Cardano’s future. Only paid members are eligible to apply.
Catalyst and Educational Programs
Project Catalyst continues to foster innovation, with the onboarding of Fund12 winners nearing completion. Fund13 categories were introduced during town hall 174.
